Square needs new marketing approach

Letter to the Editor: Branding Project saluted
Dear Editor: I am glad to see The Branding Project formulate to look for ideas to enhance Marietta Square. I would encourage the committee to take a look at downtown Historic Norcross. This 54-year resident of Marietta would have never dreamed of venturing to that part of metro Atlanta for dinner, but after seeing what they have created with their downtown, it has become my new dinner date destination. There is a consistency with the Victorian and turn-of-the-century architecture and each building was obviously restored with architectural controls. A nice variety of restaurants and coffee shops were all full of patrons and there were no parking decks looming to detract from the ambience and charm of that vibrant downtown district.
